The Magic of Lake O’Hara

A glimpse of the magic at Yoho National Park, British Columbia. Lake O’Hara is one of the most breath-taking and beautiful places I’ve ever seen. This sensitive alpine environment is protected and so I’m truly honoured to have been able to visit Lake O’Hara. When you get here, you can’t help but stop every 10 steps to really take it all in. Every turn you take, you’ll come across pretty wild flowers, unique plants to the environment, creeks, waterfalls and breath taking mountain views.

This is your reminder to get outdoors more. We get so busy in our day to day that sometimes the only time outside is our walk to and from work. This is your reminder to feel the sun, see the contrast of the green leaves against the blue sky. Feel the wind that kisses your skin, the cool soil under your feet. There is something really special that being in nature brings. It pulls me to the present and I’m so grateful for that.

In order for everyone to enjoy the outdoors for generations to come, here are a couple things you can do to protect the environment:

  • stay on the designated trails. bring waterproof shoes and walk through the puddles not around
  • don’t pick the wildflowers, leave everything as you found it coming in
  • pick up your garbage
  • don’t feed or disturb the animals in the area
