The Most Aesthetic Coffee Shop in Viet Nam
The Blank Sky Lounge is located on the 75th floor of the Landmark 81 building in Ho Chi Minh city. It’s the highest lounge in Viet Nam and the views of the city are so dreamy. This cafe in the sky was such a great way to spend the afternoon. We got a variety of coffees and dessert while taking in the panoramic views of the city on a warm summer day.
How to get to the Blank Sky Lounge:
The cafe is located inside the Landmark 81 building, which is a complex that has a shopping mall, ice skating rink, hotel, movie theatre and dining. You can enter through the hotel entrance – the Vinpearl Landmark 81. Here you will be greeted by the hotel staff at the entrance and you can let them know you’d like to visit the Sky Lounge.
You’ll be escorted up to the 48th floor where you’ll be greeted by another hotel reception desk. From here, you take a second set of elevators to the 75th floor, which is where the Blank Sky Lounge is located.
Reservations
This cafe is often busy, so if you want a spot facing the window views, I would recommend you make a reservation in advance. It wasn’t too busy on the sunday that I went, but it was also Lunar New Years in February. I found that Ho Chi Minh city was a bit quieter during this time as everyone leaves to go back to the countryside to celebrate with their families.
Open Daily
9:30 am – 12:00 am
The Cafe:
The cafe has two floors – the 75th and 76th. There is also an outdoor terrace, but during the daytime it was way too hot to be sitting outdoors. I tried to take some pictures out there, but the heat was too scorching! I can imagine that the evenings out on the patio would be an amazing experience though. They also serve a variety of cocktails and mocktails in addition to the coffee and dessert. All the drinks on the menu looks perfectly hand crafted and delicately prepared.
Coffee + Dessert:
It was the most relaxing afternoon and I would highly recommend you coming here if you enjoy specialty coffee and dessert. The price ranged on the higher side, as it was about $10.66 CND for a speciality coffee and $9.57 CND for a dessert. I think it is worth the visit once though! My favourites were the Cheesy Popcorn Macchiato and the Op-la dessert.
