Hana-Maui Resort
We started our day early and drove through the most scenic road I’ve ever seen. Depending on where you’re starting from, it will take about 2 hours to drive to Hana non-stop. With this being said, the Road to Hana has many stops along the way where you can park off to the side and explore trails, stop at a fruit stand, swim near a waterfall or visit a beach. So after making some stops along the way, we arrived at the resort after a 5 hour scenic drive.
We stayed at the Hana-Maui Resort for two nights, as we were guests for our friend’s wedding. The hospitality from the staff was like no other. We were welcomed with a lei kukui and driven to our room in golf carts!
This was the most luxurious hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We were initially going to book a room in the garden view (as it was cheaper), but since they were fully booked, our other option was the ocean view. This view did not disappoint! I think the extra money for the ocean view was well worth it.
The weather was beautiful our entire stay and we spent a lot of our time relaxing around the infinity pool. I loved the slower pace that the resort provides, and the landscape was honestly breath-taking anywhere you walked. At night, I would sit out on the patio to watch the sunset fall across the ocean. It was so relaxing, I would fall asleep on the outdoor day bed! Something I miss about Maui is listening to the ocean waves crash along the shore everyday.
Near the resort, about a 5 minute walk up the road are some food trucks that we ended up going to for most of our meals. My favourites were Bruddah Hutts, Troy’s Plate Lunch and My Tita’s Cafe.
Lovvve!
